When to use GSC Content Decay Finder

Find pages that deserve investigation after a period-to-period traffic change. Align equivalent date ranges and search types before comparing exports.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose the earlier and later Pages CSV exports
  2. Compare by exact page URL
  3. Export the changes and inspect priority pages in Search Console

Before you use the result

Search Console exports may be truncated and are not a complete crawl. Seasonality, demand, position and tracking changes can affect performance. A decline does not identify its cause.

Open the downloaded file or export before relying on it. Keep the original so you can compare quality, recover data or try different settings. Use only material you have permission to process.
