Find H1, H2 and H3 hierarchy issues in pasted HTML.
Use the Heading Structure Checker
What this tool helps you check
Headings help readers scan a page and understand how sections relate. Paste article HTML to see a heading outline, multiple-H1 warnings and skipped levels. This complements the title preview and URL slug workflow when reviewing content before publication.
How to use it
- Paste HTML from the article editor or source view
- Inspect the outline and any level jumps
- Revise headings to reflect the actual section hierarchy
Interpreting the result
A skipped level can be valid in complex documents, and a clean outline does not prove content quality. The checker parses the submitted HTML locally in your browser and does not upload draft content.
Limitations and next steps
Can a page have more than one H1?|HTML can contain multiple H1 headings, but one clear page heading usually makes an editorial page easier to understand.
