When to use WebP to PNG

Match an image format to its destination. Use PNG when transparency matters, JPEG for photographs with a solid background, and WebP when the destination supports it.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a supported image
  2. Set available quality or background options
  3. Download and confirm the output format

Before you use the result

Only static JPG, PNG and WebP inputs are supported. Conversion does not restore lost image detail. WebP export depends on browser support and is checked before download.

Open the downloaded file or export before relying on it. Keep the original so you can compare quality, recover data or try different settings. Use only material you have permission to process.
