When to use Grayscale Image

Check a composition without color or produce a neutral illustration. Pixel luminance controls the gray value rather than a browser-specific visual filter.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose an image
  2. Run the grayscale conversion
  3. Download the PNG result

Before you use the result

Color information is removed from the new file. Keep the original when you may need color later.

Open the downloaded file or export before relying on it. Keep the original so you can compare quality, recover data or try different settings. Use only material you have permission to process.
